Lucy said "James, Jonathan, we have to find those guns." "Yes," said Martha. "We'll look for them first thing in the morning." They all sat down at the table and ate dinner. In the early morning Martha felt James shaking her. Martha sat up. She said "James, why did you do that? Didn't you see I was already awake?" "No, Martha, anyway I need to tell you something," "What?" She asked. "I couldn't sleep, so I went outside. I heard footsteps coming, so I hid behind a bush. "James, who was it?" "I don't know. Anyway, I ran past the robber, making lots of noise," "So that's what woke me up," said Martha. "I went around the house with the robber chasing me, and I went in the back door very quickly. But the thief was a bit to fast. Just as I was about to lock it, he pulled the door. I pulled it on it too, to try close it. Then I had an idea. I let go of the door, sending the thief flying. I locked both doors, then I came to tell you." "James, how did you know that was the robber?" "Because I saw the guns in a bag he was carrying." "Did you manage to get them?" asked Martha excitedly. "No, but I know what way he went!" Then he added "Go wake Lucy, I'm going to get Jonathan."
