Slaughtering Our Lamb

Did you know that we used to have two lambs? Well, the lambs have grown up now, and so they are both young adult sheep. Right now Dad is slaughtering the oldest of what used to be lambsπŸ˜πŸ˜©πŸ˜§πŸ˜” As soon as I saw Dad make a big cut in the neck of the sheep, and as soon as I saw blood rushing out of the neck of the now adult sheep, I went inside. I even said to Mom before I went outside, "Mom, why do we have to slaughter one of our sheep now? Can't we do it in a few more days (this was really silly of me to ask, because in ten more days we have to move house!)? Or at least give it to someone?" I would prefer to give it to someone then us having to slaughter it. Really. Anyway, Mom said, "No, we are going to have Samba Yanya (one of our friends) over for lunch tomorrow, remember?" I had forgotten that. Then Mom said, "If we slaughter the goat, sheep, whatever one it is, we should slaughter it because we are leaving soon, and also since Samba Yanya is coming over, we should give him some good food," I was annoyed she said that, but she did, so we are slaughtering it now. 😞
