When Mary woke up in the morning, she went down to have breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. She had eaten some strawberries and a piece of bread. She had also eaten a bowl of Rice Krispies. When she went back to the cabin, she saw someone rummaging through her and Henry's money! "Hey!" she yelled, "Stop that!" Because of her shouting, Henry woke up. As soon as he did, he saw the thief! Fortunately, the thief didn't get any money. But unfortunately, the thief got away. Then Henry saw Mary wincing. "Mary! Are you okay?!" Henry asked. Then he saw her knee. The thief had sprained it! Henry ran to her. He took her knee and and a stool and quickly put her knee on the stool. Then he called the doctor. When the doctor arrived, he said that Mary needed surgery! "What," said Mary disappointed (she was disappointed because it takes 4-6 months to heal!). Just then there was a knock at the door. "Come in," Henry said. The door opened, and John and Katie walked in. Then John said, "I saw a ambulance at your cabin, and I didn't," he stopped when he saw Mary. "What happened to you?" asked Katie. "Someone sprained my knee," said Mary. "Who?" asked John," "A thief," answered Mary. "How did a thief get in here?" asked Katie again. "I must of accidentally left the door unlocked," said Mary. "Miss," the doctor said, "You'll need to get a knee-rester," "Okay doctor," answered Mary.
This is a picture of Mary's knee-rester (you put your leg on the knee-rester, and then you scoot)
In the next chapter you'll find out how Mary gets along.
Poor Mary! That must have been a scary experience for her. I wonder if she saw the thief's face. You did a great job writing out all of that dialogue! That must have taken a long time. It was worth it, as it was fun and interesting to read. Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteYes... No, she didn't see the thief's face. It did take a long time... Yes, it was worth it!
