They followed the tracks until they found a wall right next to a big tree. "Are you sure this is a red panda?" asked Sophie, "I mean, I know that you studied them and all, but, I know that red pandas can't climb walls." "But there is a giant tree next too it!" said Mia excitedly." Then all the people who are good at climbing climbed the tree, and helped everyone else over the wall. "Wait, what was that flash of red?" asked Olivia excitedly. "I think it was the red panda!!!!"

Suspense means when you don't know what is going to happen. Sometimes when you are reading a book or watching a movie, you don't know what comes next or how it is going to turn out. You are in suspense then! A suspenseful story means it keeps you hanging on, guessing what is next, unsure how it is going to turn out. Does that help explain it?
